What is special about wheego RENT?

There are many different car rental providers, car rental companies, leasing companies and car sharing providers in the mobility sector. wheego RENT is different, the trust of our customers and good relationships are particularly important to us. That's why we offer you transparent offers without hidden additional costs, which you can book easily and conveniently. Whether you are a corporate customer, commercial customer or private customer - at wheego you are guaranteed to get a vehicle at a fair price. This ensures that every wheego customer receives the right offer for their individual rental car needs with transparent conditions and at a favorable price.

What is the difference between wheego SHARE and wheego RENT?

If you use wheego RENT, you can reserve your vehicle via our wheego-mobility.com website, by phone or directly at one of our wheego stations. A rental at wheego RENT is only possible within the opening hours. You will receive the vehicle key from our wheego employees, who will also hand over and explain your wheego vehicle to you. At wheego SHARE you do everything via the wheego APP. As soon as you have successfully registered, you can book and rent our wheego cars and vans around the clock, 365 days a year. So you are completely independent of opening hours and simply open your booked wheego vehicle in the wheego app.

What is identical in wheego SHARE and wheego RENT?

Whether you use wheego SHARE or wheego RENT, you can rent our vehicles from 1 minute and up to 90 days. The available vehicle groups and optional extras are also identical.

Which vehicle groups can I rent from wheego RENT?

At wheego you can currently choose between 9 different vehicle groups and book the right vehicle for your needs: e-Micro, Economy, Compact, Mid-size, Station wagon, Transporter mini, Transporter small, Transporter and Transporter Plane We are constantly working to provide the right vehicle groups for your needs and will inform you promptly about innovations such as minibuses or convertibles, other electric vehicles, e-cars or hybrid vehicles as well as luxury vehicles. Does wheego RENT also offer vans?

Yes, we also have many vans for you in our fleet. For smaller transports such as a washing machine, dryer or refrigerator, we recommend our "Transporter mini" vehicle group. Here you can get an Opel Combo or a Toyota Proace, for example. For somewhat larger transports, it's best to opt for the "small van" group and get a Ford Transit Custom, for example. For larger transports and removals, it is best to book the "Transporter" group and then rent a Peugeot Boxer, for example. Our "Transporter tarpaulin" group also offers you plenty of space and many loading options. Here, for example, you can drive an Opel Movano flatbed curtainsider (3.5 t). No matter whether you want to make larger purchases at Ikea or a DIY store and pack directly into the wheego transporter or need a removal van - at wheego you are guaranteed to find a suitable transporter for you at a reasonable price.

What is included with wheego RENT?

Your rental price includes a more extensive inclusive mileage package. This is 25 free kilometers per hour or up to 500 free kilometers per day. Compare the rental car offers of other car rental companies and rental car providers yourself - but make sure that your wheego price already includes many extras! Your wheego RENT offer also includes service, maintenance, taxes, insurance, GEZ, tires, statutory inspections such as main inspection / exhaust emission test (AU/HU) and the loss in value due to normal use of the vehicle. This also includes all naturally occurring signs of use such as tire and brake wear as well as any necessary workshop appointments for tire and oil changes. If you are involved in an accident with your wheego car, we will of course take care of settling the claim with the insurance company. To ensure that you as a driver are always legally compliant and roadworthy on the road, the wheego Fleet Angels always take care of the condition of the wheego fleet and thus ensure that your wheego car or wheego van is equipped with sufficient oil, AdBlue, other operating materials and, of course, seasonally with winter tires. This ensures that your wheego experience can always run to your complete satisfaction, even in ice and snow.

Can I rent wheego cars in other countries?

Yes, you can also rent your wheego car outside of Germany. wheego has franchise partners in many European countries and soon also worldwide. Please note that individual rental conditions apply in each wheego rental country and the services included in the price differ from those in Germany. You can see what is included in your rental offer on the respective offer pages. But no matter where you rent a car with wheego, service and transparency are our top priorities. We have selected our franchise partners very carefully and also monitor compliance with our high service and quality standards.

Conditions / Rental periods / Inclusive kilometers

How long in advance can I book a vehicle with wheego RENT?

At wheego RENT you can book a vehicle from a pre-booking time of one minute - i.e. virtually immediately. The maximum advance booking period is 365 days.
What is the minimum/maximum rental period? You can rent a car or van from wheego for as little as 3 hours and up to a maximum of 90 days.

What is the minimum/maximum rental period?

You can rent a car or van from wheego for as little as 1 minute and up to a maximum of 90 days.

How many free kilometers are included with wheego?

For hourly rentals (from 3 hours to 5 hours rental time), 25 inclusive kilometers per hour are already included in your rental price. For daily rentals, up to 500 free kilometers per rental day are included.

How high are the costs for additional kilometers?

Depending on the wheego vehicle group, the price is between 0.10 €/km and 0.30 €/km incl. VAT. You can find detailed information on the additional kilometer price of your wheego RENT vehicle in the offer information and these are of course also listed transparently in your rental contract for your rental car.
Additional kilometers will be charged at the end of the rental period at the additional kilometer prices agreed in the contract. Short mileage cannot be refunded.

From what age can I rent a car from wheego?

You must be at least 19 years old and have held a valid driver's license for 2 years. For drivers under the age of 23, we charge a young driver fee of €10.00 per day due to the increased risk.
There are no increased excesses for young drivers such as rookie fees or similar with wheego.

Can I use wheego RENT with a non-German driver's license?

That's no problem at all, if you have a valid EU driver's license, you can use wheego RENT. You must have held the license for at least 2 years. If the driver's license is not issued in Latin script, a valid international driver's license or a certified translation must be presented. The international driving license is only valid in combination with the national driving license.

Can other drivers also use the rented wheego car?

You can add additional drivers to your wheego rental contract before the start of the rental period. Like you, they must be between 18 and 75 years old and have held a valid driving license for at least 2 years. The fee per additional driver is €6.00 per rental day. For hourly rentals, the fee is only charged once. The registration of additional drivers is uncomplicated and takes place at check-out at the wheego station. Unfortunately, unregistered drivers are not allowed to use the wheego vehicle for insurance reasons.

Can I change or cancel my wheego RENT booking?

You can cancel or rebook your wheego RENT reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the booked rental period. After that, you will be charged a fee for canceling or rebooking. Your wheego service team or the wheego employees at the rental station will inform you in advance about any fees that may be incurred if you change or cancel your reservation within 48 hours before the start of the booked rental period.

All about renting

Is a deposit retained when renting?

At wheego you get a new or as good as new car. Therefore, it is necessary to reserve a deposit on your credit card when renting or to pay cashless by debit via an EC/Maestro card or other accepted payment methods. The deposit is between € 250 and € 1500.00 depending on the vehicle group and rental length. The deposit is usually refunded within 48 hours after you have returned your wheego vehicle to the station without damage.

What do I need when renting?

Please bring your ID card or passport, a valid driver's license and a debit card or credit card issued in your name with you when renting.
Please note that you must have held your driver's license for at least 2 years - otherwise a young driver fee of €10 per day will be charged.

Will I receive a fully charged vehicle or a vehicle with a full tank?

Yes, at wheego RENT we always hand over your vehicle with a full tank or fully charged battery.
Please note that you have to pay the costs for refueling or recharging yourself.
In any case, you must return the vehicle with a full tank at the end of your rental.

During the rental period

Can I extend my rental period during the current rental period?

As a rule, you can also change the booked return time during the rental period. However, you must contact your wheego rental station before the end of the contractually agreed rental period. wheego will then check whether an extension is possible or whether the vehicle is already scheduled for another wheego customer.

In which countries can I drive my wheego car?

The rental vehicle may only be used in the following countries: Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary. If you use the wheego vehicle outside Germany, we will charge you a one-off fee of 29 € per rental, as we will have increased costs for the return transportation and repair of the vehicle in the event of damage or a breakdown.

Can I smoke in the wheego car?

Smoking is not permitted in wheego cars.

Can I transport my pet in my wheego car?

In principle, you may transport your pet in your wheego car. However, you must make sure that the animal does not leave any dirt, hair or scratch marks behind. You will have to pay for the special cleaning and removal of marks yourself. For safety reasons, we also recommend that you always use a transport box and place it in the trunk. We would like to point out that animals must be adequately secured during transportation and that you must provide a suitable securing device in the form of a transport box, belt or separating grid and use it during the journey.

How are additional kilometers billed at the end of the rental period?

Additional kilometers that exceed the free kilometers included in the rental rate will be charged at the end of the rental period at the additional kilometer prices agreed in the contract. Shortfall kilometers cannot be refunded
The price is between 0.10 €/km and 0.30 €/km incl. VAT, depending on the wheego vehicle type. You can find detailed information on the additional kilometer price of your wheego RENT vehicle in the offer information.

What damages will be settled at the end of my rental?

Your wheego rental rate includes signs of wear and tear such as minor scratches on door handles or in the interior. Naturally occurring signs of wear and tear, such as tire and brake wear, are also included. Scratches that need to be painted, dents that need to be pressed out or stone chips that need to be repaired are charged at the end of the rental period. You will be charged a maximum of the agreed excess per claim plus a claims handling fee.

What hidden costs will I incur when I return the product?

We want our wheego products to be fair and transparent for you. That is why it is very important to us that you know all the costs that may be incurred.
Your rental rate includes 25 free kilometers per hour and up to 50 free kilometers per day. You pay the agreed costs of the additional kilometers for each kilometer that exceeds your booked inclusive kilometer package. So that the next wheego customer does not have to refuel directly, it is necessary that you return your wheego RENT vehicle with a full tank.
If the tank is not full when you return it, we will have to charge you an expense fee. In the event of damage, we will charge you the damage costs up to a maximum of the agreed excess and a processing fee of €50. The excess for micro cars and all passenger cars is €15,000.00 per claim and €20,000.00 for vans (all groups). You have the option of reducing your excess to up to €0.00 by booking a protection package. The minimum age for the Premium protection package is 24 years. The booking of a protection package can be made both on the wheego website and at the wheego rental stations before the start of the rental period.

Insurance / Damage / Parking tickets

How is my wheego RENT vehicle insured?

In addition to comprehensive liability insurance, your wheego car is fully comprehensive insured. The fully comprehensive insurance also includes the benefits of a partially comprehensive insurance. The deductible for partial and fully comprehensive damage depends on the wheego vehicle model booked.
The deductible for micro cars and all passenger cars is € 15,000.00 per claim and for vans (all groups) € 20,000.00.
You have the option of reducing your deductible to up to € 0.00 by booking a protection package. The minimum age for the Premium protection package is 24 years.
You can book a protection package both on the wheego website and in the wheego rental stations before the start of the rental.

What do I do in the event of an accident or damage?

The wheego claims hotline is available for you around the clock 24/7. If you have an accident, it is imperative that you inform us immediately. We will provide you with the number of the wheego damage hotline before handing over your wheego vehicle. Please always inform the police in the event of an accident or damage - regardless of whether third parties have been harmed or not. If the police inform you that they refuse to record an accident, you must request written confirmation of this from the police and hand this over to wheego when you return the vehicle. This is the only way to ensure that the fully comprehensive insurance applies and that you are only liable within the scope of the excess.

What is the procedure in the event of damage?

You can also rely on wheego in the event of a claim. Our own claims management team is available for you around the clock, supports you and helps you organize the next steps. You will receive the number of the damage hotline from us when you rent the vehicle. In the event of an accident, please always call the police in order to clarify the question of fault properly. Depending on the type of damage (accident or warranty claim), we will check whether or not you are required to pay an excess. The amount of the excess depends on the wheego vehicle model booked. For micro cars and all car groups, this is €15,000.00 per claim and €20,000.00 for vans.

What does the liability insurance for your wheego RENT vehicle cover?

Motor vehicle liability insurance covers damage that you as a driver cause to other people, their property or assets.

What does the fully comprehensive insurance for your wheego RENT vehicle cover?

Fully comprehensive insurance also includes the benefits of partially comprehensive insurance. This means that you are insured for damage that is not your fault, e.g. if your car is stolen or in the event of storm damage such as storms or lightning strikes. You are also insured for damage and accidents caused by your own fault. A deductible is required for each accidental damage claim.

What is not covered by fully comprehensive insurance?

Comprehensive insurance does not cover damage caused by loss of keys, fuel cards or documents (e.g. vehicle registration certificate). In addition, fully comprehensive insurance does not cover punctures. Therefore, wheego vehicles are equipped with spare tires or tire kits.

How does the deductible work with wheego?

Traffic tickets first end up with us in the wheego service team and we are obliged to provide information to the responsible authority. You will then be contacted directly by the authority. We charge a fee of 29 € for the processing.

How do I proceed as a business customer if I want wheego RENT?

Can wheego RENT vehicles also be used as pool vehicles?

Yes, for our commercial and corporate customers we offer solutions that enable the use of wheego RENT vehicles as pool vehicles. Our wheego service team will be happy to provide you with comprehensive information on this. Important: for all users of your company, the requirements regarding minimum age and duration of driving license possession described in our GTC apply when concluding a framework agreement for wheego RENT. What tax advantages does an electric vehicle offer?

The private use of electric company cars up to a gross list price of €60,000 is taxed as a non-cash benefit at a lower percentage of just 0.25% of the gross list price in order to promote electromobility. For plug-in hybrid vehicles that have a minimum range in electric mode of at least 40 km and a maximum gross list price of €60,000, taxation is reduced from the normal 1% to just 0.5% of the gross list price. Are there also wheego offers for business customers with longer terms?

How can I pay with wheego share?

At wheego share you have the option of paying either by credit card (Visa Card, Master Card) or invoices with PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. At the beginning of the rental contract, a deposit amount is reserved via your credit card. At the end of the rental, the total rental price is calculated and booked from the existing card reservation. With wheego share there are no registration fees, running costs or similar, you only pay when you use wheego share. Simply book your wheego share car or van if you want to be mobile or need to transport something. Otherwise you pay nothing, so it's no problem at all if you don't need wheego share for a longer period of time. For the best possible transparency, the accrued rental costs are displayed during the rental period.

What contract period do I have when I register for wheego SHARE?

There is no minimum contract term with wheego SHARE. With the complete registration in the APP you conclude a framework contract with us. If you no longer wish to use wheego, you can terminate the framework agreement with four weeks' notice to the end of the month. However, since you only pay for wheego SHARE after use, there are no costs for you, even if you do not need wheego SHARE for a longer period of time.

How is my driver's license verified?

Your driver's license will be checked digitally in the wheego app during your registration process. You will be connected to our partner who will carry out the check on our behalf and verify your driver's license and ID card. For verification, we accept valid driving licenses issued in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). Driving licenses from a non-EU/EEA country are valid for 6 months from the first entry into Germany.

Who can use wheego SHARE?

To use wheego SHARE, you must be at least 18 years old, have a driver's license for at least 1 year and a credit card.

How do I get the wheego SHARE app?

You can find our free wheego app in the Google Play Store for Android smartphones, but of course also in the Apple App Store. You can of course also find the link on our wheego website: https://www.wheego-mobility.com/share After your free registration, you can use the wheego app to book all vehicles, change your digital reservation, open and lock the vehicle doors, conveniently view your journeys and report defects or damage in the future.

Does wheego SHARE also offer transporters?

You can now get our vans in the areas shown. With our van business via the app, you have the option of renting vans digitally 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please note: the van business is a station-based business, i.e. rental and return in the same business area. One-way trips via the app are currently not possible. Fuel is not included in the rental price for vans. This means that you pick up the van with a full tank when you rent it and return it with a full tank.

Which is cheaper a wheego SHARE or a classic rental car?

Thanks to our innovative technology, we can pass on the resulting cost benefits to you. You can rent the wheego vehicle digitally 24/7 and use it in the same way as with a classic car rental, but much cheaper, without waiting times at the counter, without annoying paperwork and without someone trying to sell you something in addition. You can reserve your wheego vehicle digitally up to 24 hours in advance, in the city or at our airport locations. The fuel/energy used is already included in the rental price of our cars.

How long can I rent a vehicle from wheego SHARE?

At wheego SHARE you can rent our vehicles from 1 minute and up to 30 days. If you need a vehicle for longer, ask us for an offer from the wheego car subscription / long-term rental - or book it directly at: www.wheego-mobility.com. Here we offer very attractive prices for various durations as an alternative to owning a car or leasing a vehicle.

Is there an additional charge for renting at the airports?

You can end or start your rental at the airport at any time. In both cases, we will automatically charge you a small additional fee of €9.90. When renting at the airport, the airport fee is already included in the minute rate.

How long can I reserve my wheego vehicle in advance?

We offer you 2 options for the reservation, on the one hand you can reserve your wheego vehicle free of charge 10 minutes before the rental. For a small surcharge per minute you can reserve your wheego vehicle up to 24 hours in advance. Then you are sure that you will get your vehicle. You also have the option of using our booking widget in the app to reserve a wheego vehicle for collection during our opening hours at one of our branches.

What is included with wheego SHARE?

The fuel costs for cars and the charging costs for our e-vehicles are already included in all tariffs that you can book with wheego. In addition to our standard tariff, we offer many tariff packages with different mileages, which already include corresponding kilometer packages. Compare for yourself - the prices for additional kilometers at many classic car rental companies are comparable to those of wheego SHARE - and that's without the fuel, which is included with wheego SHARE. We are sure that with wheego SHARE we can offer you a fair and transparent price, regardless of whether you use your wheego vehicle a lot or a little. The costs for fuel and/or recharging are included in the rental price for cars and are covered by us. Please use our fuel and charging card for this. You will find these in the key holder in the glove compartment. However, please note the minimum tank capacity or, in the case of our electric vehicles, the minimum charge level of 25%, which is required on return, so that you avoid unnecessary charges. Your wheego rental price also includes liability insurance and a basic protection package for damage to the vehicle. With a (vehicle) group-dependent protection package for damage to the vehicle, you can reduce the excess even further in the future for a small fee - you select this with every booking and can therefore always flexibly decide which protection package you prefer. The respective excess as well as the fees and prices can be found in our current schedule of costs and fees. The wheego SHARE offer also includes service, maintenance, taxes, insurance, GEZ, tires and depreciation due to normal use of the vehicle. What can I do if my vehicle won't open?

If your vehicle cannot be opened as desired, please contact the wheego hotline immediately via the telephone button or 0203-570 777 79. Our service team will make sure that you get into your car as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you must stay with the vehicle until wheego has informed you of the next steps.

What should I pay particular attention to before starting the journey?

Please be sure to check your wheego vehicle for any damage, defects, missing parts (e.g. fuel card, charging cable) and dirt before use. Before opening the vehicle, you will be asked to take 4 photos in the app to document the condition of the vehicle. If you discover any damage or if the vehicle is dirty inside or, in the case of vans, on the loading area, please report this via the wheego app to sharing@wheego-mobility.com before starting your journey. Please also check whether the vehicle key with the fuel and charging card (cars only) is in the glove compartment or in the key holder.

Where can I find the vehicle key?

Where can I reserve or rent a wheego SHARE vehicle?

On your wheego APP you can either rent different vehicles digitally 24/7 or reserve them classically for wheego RENT. Different areas are marked on the app, these areas are called business areas. There can be a different number of business areas in a region, city or at the sharing parking lots of the respective airports. In these business areas, you can reserve the vehicle when you no longer need it, park it and end the rental. We are working on expanding our business areas and you will always receive the latest information on your wheego APP.

How do I charge the YOYO?

You will find the charging connection on the YOYO at the front of the vehicle behind the flap above the bumper. You open this flap by pulling the lever twice at the bottom left of the footwell on the driver's side. Please note that the hand/foot brake must be pressed and the selector switch must be set to "N" for charging.

Do I have to refuel/charge the wheego vehicle before returning it?

You receive our vans on a full/full principle. This means a full tank of gas when you rent the vehicle and a full tank when you return it. In the case of cars, we do not expect you to refuel or recharge your wheego vehicle after every rental. However, please make sure that the wheego vehicle is refueled with at least 25% or that the electric vehicle is charged with at least 25% when you return it. Please also note that you do not have to pay for the fuel you fill up and the electricity you charge yourself. You simply use the wheego fuel and charging card in the vehicle and refuel at one of our partner filling stations or charge at the approved charging stations. Can I transport my pet in my wheego car?

In principle, you may transport your pet in your wheego car. However, you must make sure that the animal does not leave any dirt, hair or scratch marks behind. You will have to pay for the special cleaning and removal of traces yourself. For safety reasons, we also recommend that you always use a transport box and place it in the trunk. We would like to point out that animals must be adequately secured during transportation and that you must provide a suitable securing device in the form of a transport box, belt or separating grid and use it when driving.

Can I smoke in the wheego car?

Smoking is not permitted in wheego cars.

Can I drive abroad with my wheego vehicle?

Yes, you can also use your wheego vehicle outside of Germany. Please note that you are only allowed to enter the following countries with your wheego car or van: Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary. Can I make one-way trips with wheego?

The return of your wheego vehicle in another business area is possible for an additional fee. There is no additional one-way fee for journeys between our city zones and the associated airports (e.g. Berlin - BER, Hamburg - HAM, Düsseldorf - DUS etc.). Our vans are only available on a station basis, i.e. rental and return at the same location. No one-way trips are possible here.

Where can I find the charging cable in my electric vehicle?

In our wheego electric vehicles you will find the charging cable for the socket connection and/or a charging cable for fast charging in the trunk. At public charging points, you can charge the vehicle using the fuel and charging card from the glove compartment without having to pay for it yourself.

At which charging stations can I charge wheego electric vehicles?

You will find the charging card in the key/card holder in the glove compartment of the wheego vehicle. You can use it to charge your wheego vehicle at more than 40,000 charging stations in the DKV network throughout Germany at our expense.

Refueling and charging included for cars - how does it work?

We provide you with our DKV Tank & Ladekarte for refueling our share cars. You will find the fuel & charge card in the keyholder of the vehicle. The PIN is displayed in the "Refuel / Charge" app function during the rental. Like all card payment systems, the DKV card is only valid in the participating DKV service station network. Although we cover around 99% of all petrol stations in Germany with DKV, please make sure that your chosen petrol station accepts the DKV card as a means of payment before filling up. If this is not the case, we will refund the fuel you have paid for. For the refund, please send us an e-mail immediately with the fuel receipt as a PDF or photo (in the usual image format jpg., png), a photo of the wheego vehicle as it is at the gas station on which the license plate number is visible, as well as a photo of the fuel gauge (you can find it on the display of the dashboard when the ignition is switched on), the name of the renter, and your bank details (name of the bank & IBAN) to tankerstattung@wheego-mobility.com. The refund will be made by bank transfer, subject to verification of the refueling process. When parking, always make sure that you are not obstructing anyone, pay attention to the appropriate signage in the street area and always observe the road traffic regulations. Where possible, we work with the local authorities to ensure that you can park your wheego vehicle in any proper and publicly accessible parking space within the business area. However, each city has its own parking regulations. We are currently working on different solutions with the cities of Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Duisburg and Frankfurt. Berlin: You currently have to pay to park in Berlin's parking management zones. We are currently working on a solution with the city of Berlin. What do I have to do if I want to park the wheego SHARE vehicle for a break?

If you park your wheego vehicle for a break during your booking, use the key (vehicles without a start-stop button) or the app to temporarily lock it. The rental will then continue as normal and you can resume your journey at any time. If you want to end your journey in the wheego business area for good, put the key back in the key holder in the glove compartment, lock the vehicle using the wheego app and end your rental in the app.

What do I need to bear in mind when ending the rental?

In order to provide our customers with vehicles that can be planned and reserved, we have defined business areas. Therefore, you can only return your vehicle and end the rental in the defined business areas. If you return and end the rental outside our business area, you will incur additional charges. The costs are based on the cost of returning the vehicle to the business area. A successful termination of the rental is only possible if a secure and stable mobile connection to the vehicle can be established at the vehicle's return location and the vehicle is located within a zone of the business territory approved for return. Within the business area, the vehicle can be returned either to a free parking space on the public road that is not marked by a stopping or parking ban or to specially marked private parking spaces. Only park in areas with a day or time-related restriction on parking authorization (e.g. stopping bans with additional signs such as "7:00 - 17:00" or "Monday 6:00 - 12:00") if the restriction only comes into effect 48 hours after the vehicle has been parked. This also applies to traffic bans, such as temporary parking bans due to weekly markets, events or parades. Before the end of the rental, you will be asked to take 4 photos in the app to document the condition of the vehicle. Please make sure that the photos are meaningful and that the vehicle's license plate number is visible. You automatically initiate the end of your rental process when you have parked your wheego vehicle, returned the key, fuel and charging card (car) to the key holder provided in the glove compartment, locked the windows and doors and the 4 vehicle photos have been taken. You can then simply end the rental via the wheego app. As soon as the central locking system of your wheego vehicle is closed, the rental is actually over. How does billing work with wheego SHARE?

At the beginning of the rental agreement, a deposit is reserved on the credit card on file. At the end of the rental, the total rental price is calculated and debited from the credit card as part of the deposit reservation.

What additional costs may I incur when returning the product?

We want our wheego products to be fair and transparent for you. That's why it's very important to us that you know all the costs that may be incurred. Depending on the rate you have booked, your rental price already includes various kilometer packages for hourly and daily rentals. For every kilometer that exceeds your booked inclusive kilometer package, you pay the cost of the additional kilometers according to the tariff. If you exceed the rental period you have booked, we will charge you for the additional rental period as well as the kilometers driven according to the minute rate. You will receive your wheego transporter on a full/full principle. This means a full tank when you rent it and a full tank when you return it. If you do not fill up before returning the wheego transporter, we will charge you for the fuel you have filled up plus an expense fee. You can find the fee in our current cost and fee schedule (www.wheego-mobility.com/de/agb#agb-share). In the case of cars, it is necessary that you return your wheego car with a tank content or, in the case of electric vehicles, with a charge level of at least 25%, so that the next wheego customer does not have to refuel/charge directly. If you return and terminate the rental outside our business area, you will incur additional charges. The costs are based on the cost of returning the vehicle to the business area. For rentals at the airport, we charge a one-off fee of €9.90 (except minute rate). For rentals in the city and return at the corresponding airport (e.g. Berlin - BER, Hamburg - HAM, Düsseldorf - DUS etc.) the airport fee will also be charged. What damages will be settled at the end of my rental?

Your wheego rental price includes signs of use such as minor scratches on door handles or in the interior. Naturally occurring signs of wear and tear, such as tire and brake wear, are also included. At the end of the rental period, scratches that need to be painted, dents that need to be pressed out or stone chips that need to be repaired will be charged. For each claim, you will be charged the damage determined by the expert opinion, limited to the agreed excess plus a claims handling fee. If the damage determined in the report is less than the agreed excess, we will also charge the costs of preparing the report. I can't finish the rent. How can I get help?

A successful termination of the rental is only possible if a secure and stable mobile connection to the vehicle can be established at the return location of the vehicle and the vehicle is located within a zone of the business area approved for return. If you are unable to complete the rental process as requested, please contact the wheego hotline immediately via the telephone button or 0203-570 777 79. You must also remain with the vehicle until wheego has informed you of the further procedure. If there is a technical problem for which you are not responsible, wheego will of course reimburse you immediately for any additional rental costs incurred. However, if you cannot end the rental because the fuel and charging card or the vehicle keys are not in the vehicle, or you have not closed the doors or windows, then your rental will continue.

Does the vehicle have to be clean when I return it?

Please leave your wheego vehicle at the end of the rental exactly as you would like to find it on your next trip. Please remove all soiling that you have caused during your rental and also remove all waste.
If we are able to assign major soiling or waste to your ride, we will have to charge you the cleaning fees.

If you have been flashed or receive a fine for any other reason, we will be notified and will forward the relevant data to the authorities. We will charge you a processing fee for this work. What should I do in the event of an accident or breakdown?

If you have an accident, please always secure yourself first and mark the vehicle for the following traffic. Then please inform us immediately via our wheego hotline, which is available 24 hours a day on 0203 570 777 76. We will take care of the further measures.

What happens if I cause or discover damage?

You can also rely on wheego in the event of a claim. Our own claims management team is available for you around the clock, supports you and helps you organize the next steps. How are wheego vehicles insured?

What are the tax advantages of an electric vehicle from wheego?

The private use of electric company cars up to a gross list price of €60,000 is taxed at a lower percentage of just 0.25% of the gross list price as a non-cash benefit in order to promote electromobility. For plug-in hybrid vehicles with a minimum range in electric mode of at least 60 km and a maximum gross list price of €60,000, taxation is reduced from the normal 1% to just 0.5% of the gross list price.

You can find the "Delete user account" function in your user profile at the top left of the app. To do this, tap on the User account field and on the visualized "pencil" to edit your profile. What is special about the wheego car subscription?

You can rent, lease or buy a car - or now also subscribe. The wheego car subscription is the easiest and most uncomplicated way to get your vehicle and is particularly advantageous if you want full cost control and want to be mobile with little effort. And it's that simple: You simply pay the agreed monthly rate, which covers all services apart from the fuel costs. The car subscription is our "all-round carefree package" for your mobility. You no longer have to worry about insurance, taxes or maintenance. Regardless of whether you are a private or corporate customer, or whether you need one or more vehicles, we always have the right mobility solution for you. With wheego, you can always drive the car of your dreams without a long-term commitment and remain as flexible and optimally protected as possible.

What is included in the wheego car subscription?

Your fixed monthly wheego subscription price includes everything except refueling, i.e. the inclusive mileage package you have selected as well as all maintenance and wear and tear repairs required during the subscription period, tires (all-season tires), general inspection/exhaust emission test (HU/AU), warranty work, vehicle tax, GEZ fees, registration, and vehicle insurance. The car insurance includes the statutory liability insurance. In our general terms and conditions you will find detailed information about the additional costs you will incur as a driver that are not covered by the monthly contribution to wheego. These costs may include operating fluids (e.g. fuel, Adblue, windshield wiper fluid, etc.), public usage fees (e.g. tolls), fines and penalties (plus processing fees) and cleaning costs. The excess for wheego cars in the event of damage is €750 per claim, depending on the vehicle.

What exactly is included in my wheego Auto subscription?

Your wheego car subscription includes service, maintenance, taxes, insurance, GEZ, tires and the loss in value due to normal use of the vehicle - i.e. everything except refueling. This also includes all naturally occurring signs of use such as tire and brake wear as well as any necessary workshop appointments for tire and oil changes. If you are involved in an accident with your wheego car, we will of course take care of settling the claim with the insurance company. (2) Conditions / Subscription term / Inclusive kilometers

How long is the contract term/minimum term?

Your minimum term is one month, after which you can return the vehicle at any time. In the event that you return it before the end of the month, we will invoice you on a daily basis. This ensures maximum transparency and fairness. You can choose between different term offers, depending on your personal needs. If you only need your wheego car for a short period of time, then our flexible 3-month offers are perfect for you. If you want to drive your wheego car for longer, you can choose the term package that suits you best, up to the particularly favorably priced 18-month variant.

How high are the costs for additional kilometers?

The price is usually between 0.15 €/km and 0.30 €/km incl. VAT, depending on the wheego vehicle type. You can find detailed information on the additional kilometer price of your wheego vehicle on the respective product pages of all offers.

How are excess or shortfall kilometers billed at the end of the term?

Excess mileage will be charged at the end of the term at the excess mileage rates agreed in the contract. Short mileage cannot be refunded. Unfortunately, the mileage package cannot be adjusted after the contract has been signed.

Can the terms stated on the website be adjusted?

The terms shown on the wheego offer pages cannot be shortened or extended. However, if you have concluded a follow-up contract with wheego for your next car subscription, we will try to enable you to make a transition without interruption.

What hidden costs will I incur?

The mileage package you have booked is included in your monthly subscription rate. Any additional kilometers over and above the agreed package will be billed cumulatively at the end of your rental period. The mileage at the time of return to our hubs counts. If you pick up the wheego vehicle at your home, the mileage at the time of handover to our transfer partner counts as the return mileage of your rental contract. You pay the agreed costs of the additional kilometers for each kilometer that exceeds your booked inclusive kilometer package. Every month you must report the current mileage of your subscription vehicle to wheego by email. We only need this mandatory information to check whether you are largely within the agreed mileage and, if necessary, to warn you of high additional mileage costs at the end of your subscription.

Can I take out a subscription with a non-German driver's license?

That's no problem at all, if you have a valid EU driver's license, you can take out a subscription with us.

(3) All about the car - offers / availability / equipment

Can wheego vehicles be individually configured?

It is very important to us to guarantee you the fastest possible availability of your desired vehicle. That is why all wheego vehicles are already configured. You can view the detailed equipment features on the offer page of the respective wheego vehicle.

What condition are vehicles in at wheego?

Your wheego car is as good as new.

Can I make modifications to my wheego car?

Unfortunately, any installations or modifications to the vehicle that lead to permanent changes may not be carried out. We are subject to the specifications of our vehicle suppliers. However, all non-technical modifications that you can remove without leaving any residue or damage before returning the vehicle to wheego are permitted.

What tires do the wheego cars have?

We deliver your wheego car with winter tires - so you can have safe driving fun all year round.

What exactly is included in my wheego Auto subscription?

Your wheego car subscription includes service, maintenance, taxes, insurance, GEZ, tires and the loss in value due to normal use of the vehicle - i.e. everything except refueling. This also includes all naturally occurring signs of use such as tire and brake wear as well as any necessary workshop appointments for tire and oil changes. If you are involved in an accident with your wheego car, we will of course take care of settling the claim with the insurance company. Your deductible per claim depends on the wheego subscription vehicle you have booked and is €750.

What delivery time should I plan for if I want to subscribe to cars?

We have many wheego vehicles in stock, which are often available immediately, at the latest within 1-2 weeks after signing the contract.

(4) Booking / requirements / creditworthiness / deposit / authorized drivers

What requirements do I have to fulfill?

In order to use the wheego subscription, you must have a German registration address, be between 18 and 75 years old and have held a valid driving license in the EU for at least two years (from the date of issue of the driving license). For wheego vehicles above the compact class as well as for all vans and commercial vehicles, a minimum age of 21 years applies. An additional fee may apply for drivers under the age of 23 (young driver fee).

Will my credit rating be checked?

Before you take out your wheego subscription for the first time, we carry out a credit check using Creditreform. Whether and in what amount a deposit is required depends on your creditworthiness. The amount of the deposit is a maximum of three months' rent.

Can I take out a wheego subscription with a non-German driver's license?

You can take out a subscription with us if you have an EU driver's license.

Is there a deposit in addition to the monthly rent for the car?

With wheego you get a car in mint condition. In order to prevent payment defaults and to be able to offer all customers a favorable monthly rental for the car, we check the creditworthiness before the first subscription rental. Depending on your creditworthiness, a deposit may be required. The amount of the deposit is up to 3 months' rent.

When will the deposit be debited?

If we require a deposit payment from you, this will be debited approximately 7 days before the start of the rental period.

When will my deposit be refunded after the subscription ends?

The refund of your deposit can take up to 14 working days. When you return your wheego vehicle, an independent, official online appraisal will be carried out. Any damage that has occurred during the term will be recorded here. The cost of repairing this damage will then be charged to you and, if applicable, offset against your deposit.

Can other drivers also use the rented wheego car?

You can add more drivers to your wheego subscription at any time. Like you, they must be between 18 and 75 years old and have held a valid driver's license for at least 2 years. Registration is uncomplicated and free of charge. You can easily register additional drivers by sending an email to service@wheego-mobility.com. Let us know your rental contract number and send us a copy of the front and back of the additional driver's license. Unfortunately, unregistered drivers are not allowed to use the wheego vehicle for insurance reasons.

What does it cost to register an additional driver?

The registration of additional drivers is free of charge at wheego. You can easily register additional drivers by sending an email to service@wheego-mobility.com. Let us know your rental contract number and send us a copy of the front and back of the additional driver's license. Please note that the same requirements apply for your additional drivers as for you: They must be between 18 and max. 75 years old and have held a valid driver's license for at least 2 years. The driver's license must also be a driver's license recognized in the EU. Drivers under the age of 23 may be subject to an additional fee, the Young Driver Fee.

How long does it take for my request to register (additional) additional drivers to be checked and confirmed?

Please allow 2-3 working days to check and confirm your additional drivers. Please note that the additional drivers are only authorized to use the rented wheego vehicle after written approval by the wheego team.

Where can I find my additional drivers that I have already registered via wheego customer service?

Additional drivers that you have already successfully registered via our customer service are stored in our system. Please contact wheego customer service by email (service@wheego-mobility.com) if you need an up-to-date overview of your additional drivers.

(5) Order status / delivery status

How long does it take until I receive my wheego car?

The majority of wheego vehicles are already waiting for you in stock and are therefore immediately available. The maximum waiting time is 1-2 weeks, depending on delivery.

What is the status of my order and delivery?

After your successful order, the wheego service team will inform you about the fastest possible delivery or handover date for your wheego car. In individual cases, this date may be postponed, as we are dependent on our suppliers, forwarding agents and registration services. Should a postponement of your appointment be necessary, the wheego service team will inform you immediately.

My delivery status has not yet been confirmed, what is the current status?

We will confirm the exact delivery or handover date of your wheego car as soon as we have received all the necessary information from our suppliers, carriers and registration services. This can take up to 2 working days from the time of your binding order.

(6) Handover / delivery / return

Can I pick up my wheego car myself?

You have the choice: When you place your order, you can decide whether you want to collect the car from one of our hubs yourself or whether we should deliver your wheego vehicle to your desired address. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to change the delivery method agreed with you after you have placed your order, as we immediately instruct our logistics partners to ensure the fastest possible delivery.

How much will delivery to my desired location cost?

The delivery costs depend on the distance to your desired location. Delivery is carried out by one of our logistics partners with whom we have agreed the best conditions for you. The wheego team will inform you about the exact delivery costs when you place your order.

Where can I have my wheego car delivered?

We will deliver your new wheego car to your desired address within Germany. Unfortunately, delivery to islands is not possible.

What do I need for the handover?

The handover of your wheego vehicle takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Please have your valid driver's license and your original identity card ready.

Can another person take over the wheego vehicle for me?

Please contact our customer service directly (team.abo@wheego-mobility.com) to find out whether it is possible for a third person to take over your wheego car.

What costs will I incur when returning the wheego car?

You have the choice of having your vehicle collected by one of our logistics partners or returning it to the wheego hubs free of charge. The costs for collection by a logistics partner depend on the distance. If you would like a pick-up, please contact the wheego service team. We will then inform you of the exact costs and arrange the collection. If the car is returned with damage that it did not have when it was handed over, you will be invoiced for the repair costs following a neutral expert opinion.

How do I return my wheego car?

You have two options for returning your wheego car subscription: A neutral appraiser appointed by us will make an appointment with you and prepare the vehicle condition report together with you online. All you need is your smartphone with a camera. The vehicle will then be collected from your home promptly by one of our logistics partners. There is a collection fee for this, which depends on the distance. Alternatively, you can return your vehicle to our hubs free of charge - within opening hours. The vehicle will then remain on site. Please allow between 30 and 60 minutes for the condition report.

When will my deposit be refunded after the subscription ends?

The refund of your deposit can take up to 14 working days. When you return your wheego vehicle, an independent, official online appraisal will be carried out. Any damage that has occurred during the term will be recorded here. The cost of repairing this damage will then be charged to you and, if applicable, offset against your deposit.

Where can I return my car?

You have the choice: Either you bring your wheego vehicle to one of our hubs free of charge or you decide to pay for a pick-up. If you would like a pick-up, please contact the wheego service team at least 21 days before your subscription expires. The collection costs will then depend on the distance to your desired collection location in Germany. The wheego service team will inform you of the exact collection costs when you place your order. Before a driver from our logistics partner collects the vehicle from you, a mobile, independent appraisal will first take place at your location. A neutral expert appointed by us will make an appointment with you and then prepare the vehicle condition report together with you online. All you need is your smartphone with a camera.

How is the expert opinion carried out on the return?

A neutral expert appointed by us will make an appointment with you and prepare the vehicle condition report together with you online. All you need is your smartphone with a camera. This takes 20-30 minutes, depending on the condition of the vehicle. After a processing time of 5-7 days, you will receive a copy of the report and the final invoice by email. I have a long journey to the return location, will I lose my inclusive kilometers?

Yes, please include the distance to the return location in your inclusive kilometers. The mileage at the time of return at our wheego hubs counts. You pay the agreed costs of the additional kilometers for each kilometer that exceeds your booked inclusive kilometer package. If you pick up the wheego vehicle at your home, the mileage at the time of handover to our transfer partner counts as the return mileage of your rental contract.

Basically none, as we do everything we can to make our prices as transparent as possible for you. If you order a delivery to your desired location in Germany at the beginning of your wheego subscription and/or a collection at the end of the rental period, we will charge you the logistics costs. However, the wheego service team will always inform you of the exact costs before you place your final order. If you collect your car from our hubs and return it there, there are no additional costs for you.

Your wheego Aborate includes signs of use such as minor scratches on door handles or in the interior. Naturally occurring signs of wear and tear, such as tire and brake wear, are also included. After the subscription expires, scratches that need to be painted, dents that need to be pressed out or stone chips that need to be repaired will be charged. You will be charged a maximum of the agreed excess per claim.

(7) During the subscription period / monthly subscription fee / residents' parking permits / trips abroad

How is the monthly installment billed?

All our vehicles can be paid for by SEPA direct debit. Payment by credit card is also possible. In addition, our business customers and private customers have the option of paying on account for vehicles that run directly via wheego, provided they have sufficient creditworthiness.

When is the monthly installment debited?

In principle, your monthly installment is always debited on the day of delivery (or on the day of collection if you collect your car from our hubs). For example, if you receive your wheego car on January 4th, the monthly installment will always be debited in advance on the 4th of each month. Unfortunately, the debit date cannot be changed.

Can I change the date on which the monthly installment is debited?

No, unfortunately not, because the monthly installments are always due from the day of delivery (or the pick-up date if you pick up your wheego car in our hubs) each month.

I would like to apply for a resident parking permit for my wheego car. What do I need?

Please contact your wheego service team by email (service@wheego-mobility.com). We will provide you with all the necessary documents (owner's declaration) as quickly as possible. You will find the vehicle registration document in your wheego car. You will need these two documents to apply for a resident parking permit.

Can I smoke in the wheego car?

Smoking is not permitted in wheego cars.

Can I transport my pet in my wheego car?

In principle, you may transport your pet in your wheego car. However, you must make sure that the animal does not leave any dirt, hair or scratch marks behind.

You will have to pay for the special cleaning and removal of traces yourself.

For safety reasons, we also recommend always using a transport box and placing it in the trunk.

We would like to point out that animals must be adequately secured during transportation and that you must provide a suitable securing device in the form of a transport box, belt or separating grid and use it during the journey.

In which countries can I drive my wheego car?

The rental vehicle may only be used in the following countries: Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary.

(8) Insurance / damage / parking tickets

How is my car insured with the wheego subscription?

In addition to comprehensive liability insurance, your wheego car is fully comprehensive insured. The fully comprehensive insurance also includes the benefits of a partially comprehensive insurance. The deductible for partial and fully comprehensive cover depends on the wheego vehicle model booked. What do I do in the event of an accident or damage?

The wheego claims hotline (+4920357077776) is available for you around the clock 24/7. If you have an accident, it is imperative that you inform us immediately. We will send you the number of the wheego damage hotline by e-mail before handing over your wheego vehicle. Please always inform the police in the event of an accident or damage.

What is the procedure in the event of damage?

You can also rely on wheego in the event of a claim. Our own claims management team is available around the clock to support you and help you organize the next steps. You will receive the number of the claims hotline from us by e-mail. In the event of an accident, please always call the police in order to clarify who is at fault. Depending on the claim (accident or warranty claim), we will check whether or not you are required to pay an excess. The amount of the excess depends on the wheego vehicle model booked. Unfortunately, the amount of the deductible cannot be adjusted. wheego does not provide a replacement vehicle for workshop visits. If necessary, the garage can offer you a replacement car. What does the liability insurance in the wheego subscription cover?

Motor vehicle liability insurance covers damage that you as a driver cause to other people, their property or assets.

What does the comprehensive insurance in the wheego subscription cover?

Fully comprehensive insurance also includes the benefits of partially comprehensive insurance. This means that you are insured for damage that is not your fault, e.g. if your car is stolen or in the event of storm damage such as storms or lightning strikes. What is not covered by fully comprehensive insurance?

Comprehensive insurance generally does not cover damage caused by the loss of keys or documents (e.g. the vehicle registration document). In addition, fully comprehensive insurance does not cover punctured tires. Therefore, wheego vehicles are equipped with spare tires or tire kits.

How does the deductible work with wheego?

(9) Contract extension / termination / goodwill / withdrawal

How and when can I cancel my wheego Auto subscription?

You can cancel at any time after the minimum term of one month. You must give notice of termination in writing by email to team.abo@wheego-mobility.com.

Can I cancel my wheego subscription booking?

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to the rental of motor vehicles. Should you nevertheless wish to return the wheego vehicle before the start of the rental period or before the end of the contract for an urgent reason, please contact your wheego team immediately. We will try to find an accommodating solution depending on the individual case.

(10) The wheego Flex Auto subscription for business customers

How do I proceed as a business customer if I want to subscribe to Autos?

If you only want to subscribe to a single wheego vehicle, then order as normal via our website. Please enter a different address as the delivery address if the vehicle is not to be delivered to the company address. If you need several vehicles, please contact us via the business customer form on our wheego website, by telephone on +49 (0) 203 570777 83 or by email to business@wheego-mobility.com

Is the company's creditworthiness checked?
